A vulva is generally the name for the visible part of what most people just dub “vagina.” It encompasses all the external parts of the female nether regions including the mons pubis (fatty patch perched atop your pubic bone), the labia (inner and outer lips framing the vaginal opening), the clitoris and its protective hood, and more. According to many Bikini waxers , there are 5 major types of Vagina found in at least many women around World. In this article, find a detailed explanation in this regard.
Types of Vagina
Ms Barbie
This is generally the most common type of vagina found among many women and indeed it is what most people think of when they try to picture a vagina. With Ms. Barbie, the labia minora (the inner lips) are completely contained by the labia majora (the outer lips) and both sets of lips rest up against the pelvic bone. A common feature of Ms. Barbie is that the labia majora is a lot tighter than labia minora.
Ms. Puffs
Ms. Puffs has many similarities to Ms. Barbie, but the main difference between the two is how close the lips hang to the pubic bone or rather where labia majora and labia minora are located. With Ms. Puffs, they sit much lower and can be either full and puffed up or thin and loose. People have misconception that this has something to do with age or weight of a woman, but the truth is, there is no correlation.
Ms. Curtains
Ms. Curtains is fairly common type of vagina found in many women around the world. With Ms. Curtain, the labia minora extend past the labia majora. And depending on the person, they may stick out a lot or just a little bit. Although this might sound strange, the truth is, the degree to which a vaginal lip is hanging loosely varies among women.
Ms.Horseshoe
With Ms. Horseshoe, the opening of the vagina spreads wider at the top, exposing the labia minora, but it touches and closes off toward the bottom. With this type of vagina, there will be no extension of the labia minora past the labia majora and general shape is that of an actual horsheshoe.
Ms. Tulip
As the name suggests, this type of vagina resembles a flower bud that’s about to bloom. With Ms. Tulip, the labia minora is almost concealed by the labia majora and only slightly exposed to the outside. Ms. Tulip is quite different from Ms. Curtains in that the labia minora are considered ‘’exposed’’ but also ‘’contained’’.
Color
Skin colors naturally vary, including the skin of the vulva. Doctors report the following colors of the vulva:
- burgundy
- pink
- red
- wine
The color can also vary, depending on blood flow. During arousal, the flow of blood increases, and the vulva may appear purplish. Some people note color changes when they have certain medical conditions. A yeast infection, for example, may cause the vulva to appear purple or red.
